This week I was again able to see the benefits of sober living. Here at La Residenza Villa, a luxury sober living home, I constantly see, first hand, one resident’s conversations altering the world of another resident. Each guest at our luxury sober living house has different lengths of sobriety and recovery from addiction, thereby allowing one sober living resident to contribute what they learned to another. I also notice, the transition period after their addictive drug recovery is a critical time. This could be the time wifes, or husbands or relationship partners leave their recovering spouse or partner, because they did not want to do it while they were in their 30 day treatment. This could also be the time they are let go from work, or their parents start to voice their disappointment with them for the same reason .
When the sober residents receive disappointing news they have the support of the other residents in the luxury sober living house to support them through these incidents.

We are so excited for the grand opening of the North County LGBTQ center in Oceanside this week. We appreciate and applaud the support of LGBTQ centers. As a LGBTQ focused sober living home, we see the necessity of the continued support system in the LGBTQ community.
